We've been huge fans of Moksa since they opened, but when we discovered our shared passion for all things bourbon and oak, we realized we might actually be soulmates. So when the Moksa crew visited Colorado for CBC in 2019, we knew a collaboration had to happen. Symphonize was designed from the ground up by both breweries with the sole purpose of showcasing the complexity and heritage of American bourbon. This Imperial Stout was aged for 21 months in a diverse blend of 5-10 year-old bourbon barrels, featuring a wide variety of toast and char levels to capture the full range of bourbon expressions, lending notes of toffee, toasted marshmallow, candied almonds, brownie batter and salted caramel chews.

GREY’S VIEW
Imperial Stout blend aged for 21 months in a diverse variety of Bourbon Barrels.
The aroma and looks of this brew raises my expectations even higher. It looks and smells so beautifully strong and firm.
Let’s have a try.
Ooh, kick in the nuts! Ha! I taste deep dark chocolate fudge covered brownie cake, stylishly presented hints of charred wood, chewy salted caramels and valiantly toasted brown sugars. Its palate is bold, surprizingly clear and perfect for late autumn evening.
Body is pure melted chocolate. It makes me smile how thick and slowly pouring it is. But that fits well. Thick body, sparse but tiny and round carbonation only makes the travel that more darker… I mean chocolaty.
Taste lingers long before the end. It fades in layers and slow to the horizon. Charred wood, rock salt and tiny injection of sweet almonds makes this separation only that much more longing.
OTHER NOTES:
Beautiful collaboration. Bold in all being and more then plenty in taste.
