BEER STYLE: Oatmeal Stout (BA) COUNTRY: USA ABV.: 7.3% COLOUR (EBC): Dark Brown Black (85.0) BITTERS (EBU/IBU): - AROMA: Dry hazelnutty, chocolate ganachy, oatmeal cookie doughs, deep in Bourbon. HEAD: One finger tall. Roasted brown colored. Fast to dissappear. GREY’S VIEW Knob Creek Bourbon Barrel Aged Oatmeal Stout W/ Hazelnuts. Taste has roasted chocolate malts, slightly roasted hazelnuts, dark and ground coffee with notes from something fruity. Knob Creek presents itself dry oaky, grainy somewhat sweet. Most likely. Mouthfeel is light and even watery. Bubbles are bouncy and somewhat on the hard side. OTHER NOTES: Didn’t meet my expectations. Body is way too light and the taste is a bit all over the place. Barrels works more then well, but the basebeer just didn’t work out this time. BOTTLED 6/11/2019 TASTED 1/11/2021
