This Southern Gentleman Bourbon barrel Brown ale is deep amber, but clear. Strong bourbon aroma. Taste extends the bourbon flavor balanced with the oak barrel and roasted brown malt. During the finish small amounts of pecan surface. Overall a little too much bourbon for me but blends in with a meal very well. Now, about this alligator pizza. Alligator meat thinly sliced covered with red onion lots of mozzarella and American cheese and smothered with garlic. Throw in a couple of green bell peppers and it's not really too bad. However, the combination of alligator pizza and bourbon brown ale seems to clash a bit. Don't think I'll be trying this one again. Taking the rest of this pizza to my son-in-law and make him eat it.
