Another traditional night of family poker. A cut throat, no holes barred, trash talking, no mercy given, ridiculing, death to all who oppose me, brutal, viscous game of cards. This is a bottle I bought at Lazy Magnolia Brewery for my son. We're all going to enjoy it tonight. Pores with a thin type texture. Deep brown color, lightly hazy. Moderate flavor intensity. Subtle amount of bourbon, slightly sour, mild roasted nutty characteristic. Not as remarkable as I was hoping.

Stopped at Lazy Magnolia Brewery in Mississippi on my way to Texas. Having pizza with alligator meat. The things I do to experience local culture. This Southern Gentleman Bourbon barrel Brown ale is deep amber, but clear. Strong bourbon aroma. Taste extends the bourbon flavor balanced with the oak barrel and roasted brown malt. During the finish small amounts of pecan surface. Overall a little too much bourbon for me but blends in with a meal very well. Now, about this alligator pizza. Alligator meat thinly sliced covered with red onion lots of mozzarella and American cheese and smothered with garlic. Throw in a couple of green bell peppers and it's not really too bad. However, the combination of alligator pizza and bourbon brown ale seems to clash a bit. Don't think I'll be trying this one again. Taking the rest of this pizza to my son-in-law and make him eat it.
