Still in Houston. Postponed my trip home till Wednesday so I can stay here and watch the World series game one. And maybe have another beer or two. Short white head, dissipated to nothing very quickly. Deep orange color totally hazy. Aroma brings forth sweet orange pulp with a blend of blood orange peel. Medium heavy in weight. Both creamy and smooth turning towards the end malty. Hints of bitter in the finish completes this heavy IPA.

I saw Kveik on the can so I just bought it. Has a citrusy taste that is mainly sweet, almost candied, orange. Seems to have a touch of blood orange to it too. Not a lot of bitterness. I may be a little off on my judgement as I’ve been on a blood orange IPA kick lately. Don’t know why but have been getting 6 packs of them lately as I seem to be craving them. What’s funny is that I don’t normally think they are a great style. Sometimes they just hit the spot tho.
