Rich citrus/grapefruit/pineapple smell with the same taste. Interesting pine finish, which just about masks the high alcohol content, overall an excellent TIPA

Perjantailta. The seed which cannot be sown. Greippisyys, joka ei ammu yli ja havuja myös pehmeesti.

Lively when pouring with only a slight haze and floating yeast..I'm going to need to leave this to sit for a while. Bright amber hue with good head retention so far. This is a Simcoe TIPA and it gives off aromas of pineapple, grapefruit and pine. Clocking in at 10% ABV this isn't a gulpable IPA, it's a TIPA sipper! You get pick up on the heat of the alcohol content but it's a smooth affair. Silky mouth feel, big body and a long finish. Rich in tropical and citrus flavours, sharp and deep. Grapefruit is obvious but there's a funky pineapple element to it. I've had a Simcoe single hop IPA before by Polly's and it was gorgeous, it had more juicy tropical flavours than this brew which is a little disappointing. I don't know what this is attributed to, bigger alcohol possibly but the malt base of this TIPA tis quality. It tastes good though, bitter and sharp from the grapefruit, juicy funky pineapple, bit of resinous pine and smooth malt. It's a proper TIPA, full of flavour if not for packing in some potential juice. A smooth, big and powerful celebration of Simcoe. The taste intensity increases over time as it's sat and warms up slightly, getting deeper and richer, bigger and bolder. A TIPA is a serious brew and this one is no different. Just as with the Polly's single hop IPA this beer goes to my appreciation for Simcoe.

Silky and I mean silky smooth mouthfeel and lovely Simcoe fruity hops. Just missing a bit of pine on the finish. A lovely drinkable ale which is a little strong to session which is a great pity!
