6.5% Coffee Stout

Black. Coffee like. Intensive. This intensively dark stout is simply charming. The body is formed by small amounts of completely black malt, with a combination of roasted and caramelised malts. To finish and balance this coffee and chocolate taste, we added different hops, which resulted in a beer with nice bitterness and gentle aroma.

Oops, I didn't finish my review last night. Probably because I didn't really know what I thought of this beer. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either; it is good beer. I am not the biggest porter fan, at least not if it is not enriched somehow. Enriched as in imperial, cask lagered, coffee infused etc. Probably it also wasn't very fresh. Anyway, the aroma after opening the bottle was nice, warm and sweet. After pouring the aroma was gone. It looks as expected; pitch black with a brown head. The taste is ok. I could not determine any specific flavours, but it is not thin. All in all 2.5 ⭐ from me.
