Whoop whoop!!
We've arrived in the wilderness on my property and it's about time for a long weekend with relaxation, bathing and sauna without forgetting hunting and wood chopping. September so far has been way too dry but things are about to change dramatically. Enough said.
Let's dive into a new American brewery; Pure Project Brewing from San Diego. Now we have Sakura 6.8%, an unfiltered West Coast IPA with Mosaic and Waimea hops and this time they've teamed up with Pizza Port Brewing. Can art is simple but beautiful. Shared can with my beginner beer enthusiast @manfredraitala.
Pours bright yellow in color with an airy white head.
Dank and fruity on the nose. Really peachy and some pineapple.
Light but tasty. Tropical fruits and bitter bite in the back end. Long aftertaste, slighlty piney.

Ystävän kanssa pitkän viikonlopun aloittava olut. Vaalea sävyinen ja runsasvaahtoinen. Tuoksussa makeutta. Alkumaussa huomaan kaksi selvää makua. Jälkimaussa tulee esille katkeroa. Pidin kovasti.

So glad to have a go with another Pure Project brew. It’s one of the most intresting of breweries to me in these times.
BEER: Sakura
BREWERY: Pure Project Brewing x Pizza Port Brewing
BEER STYLE: West Coast IPA
COUNTRY: USA
ABV.: 6.8%
COLOUR (EBC): Pineapple Yellow (13.0)
BITTERS (EBU/IBU): 30.0
AROMA: Dank. Ripe fruity and a bit floral. Classic to the style.
HEAD: Two finger tall, everlasting. Classic.
GREY’S VIEW
Mosaic & Waimea hopped West Coast IPA w/ Flaked Rice.
Taste has lots of that flaked rice; it giving, dryish grainy and dry ricy feel, bit one sided notes to this. It has that dank element to it, with good amount of fresh fruits there too. The mouthfeel has bit too lively carbonation to my taste, it being soft, but maybe too small and bouncy somehow and that point taking the danky elements down quite a bit. Anyway.
OTHER NOTES:
Sakura = Cherry Blossom.
Refreshing stuff with a feel of being exactly what the brewers wanted it to be. Nicely easy drinkin’ with solid, bit quirky palate. Quite juicy west coaster.
