Our seventh rendition of Anniversary Ale is a blend of four "Motor Oil" batches that have been aged in Four Roses & Heaven Hill bourbon barrels over 16 to 42 months. The older barrels have extracted an enormous barrel character of creamy vanilla, fudge, cola & caramel, while the younger component of the blend adds a smooth, palate coating richness to counter the wood and lend exceptional balance.

GREY’S VIEW
Blend of four ”Motor Oil Imperial Stouts” which is aged 16 to 42 months in Four Roses & Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels.
I just had my first sip and I stopped for pure delight. There’s a lot going on in this one. Taste has deep dark chocolate ganache, some grounded nuts, huge feel of vibrant and soft Bourbons. It’s once again incredible!
Body is slow, sticky and oily. That feel of ganache is strong in this one. Maltbase is beautiful; notable, agile and perfectly dancing with the palate.
Taste evolves beautifully towards the end. Brownie cake dances with the chocolate ganache, creaitng some brown sugar. The vanilla from Bourbon barrels is exquisite, there’s true feel of wilderness wood and ancient, untouched forestbed whilst the warmth rises so subtle to chest.
I really can’t continue with the review as this evolves so beautifully when getting more air and warmth. Gorgeous!
OTHER NOTES:
Absolutely worth being 7th Anniversary Imperial Stout! Beautifully forged and massive in palate. Pure debauchery!
