That's right friends, it's BACK. Vanilla Medianoche starts with a blend of Medianoche batches aged for 18 months in Willett® bourbon barrels. After barrel aging, the beer was conditioned on a carefully curated blend of vanilla beans, including 5 different origins and 2 different species - Vanilla planifolia from Madagascar, Uganda and Vanuatu, and Vanilla tahitensis from Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. ⠀
⠀
This beer features the most vanilla we've ever used in a beer...EVER. To be more precise, approximately 33% more than the previous iteration in 2017.

HEAD: Pretty much nonexistent.
GREY’S VIEW
Imperial Oatmeal Stout aged 18 months in Willet Bourbon Barrels and conditioned with 5 different Vanilla Beans from 2 species (Vanilla Planifolia & Vanilla Tahitensis).
Should be good aí.
First sip and it’s pretty much frikin’ incredible! Or is it?
Taste has delightfully fresh Willet Bourbon Barrels with dark drybread, archipelago bread, strong licorice, dry yet fresh rye and sufficient oakiness. Vanillas softens (and deepens) flavours somewhat nicely, but this really is barrel forwarded unit to enjoy.
Mouthfeel is motor oily and earthmovingly slow at first, but, as the journey continues it comes substantially more dry and oaky. Bubbles are deep, dark, black and dark chocolate flavoured. Giving bursts of underworld to the taste in every sip. You can also sense the charcoal in your nose after a short while.
Vanillas blends smoothly into this. I did expect more from them, but it might be just me and my worthless mouth not to notice them. Willet Bourbon Barrels then again seems to be meant to us BA beer fans! Delightfully pure and strong with clear profile and firm being. They really can handle the high ABV’s and flavours. *deep nodding*
OTHER NOTES:
1 Part of 4 different blend release.
It definitely isn’t too easy or not to beginners, but damn beautifully build beer anyways. WeldWerks keeping the promises once again.
