Duo beer with my son-in-law. He picked this up at a great local Houston Saint Arnold Brewery.
White fluffy head, lasting a while. A little darker yellow than most pilsners. Texture and mouth feel is a little heavy for this style. Flavor is good but the finish is a little sour and throws some bitterness into it. I always think of pilsners as drinkable, a beer that I can have one after another on a hot day. This is not drinkable in that fashion.
I think they wanted to create a unique flavored pilsner and simply over crafted it. Some beers are better when done simply and not trying to get too complex with them.
