Had plenty of nice big stouts with cinnamon in, however the first ever beer I had with it was an English pale ale and it was foul, Sweet Mary Jane by Ilkley Brewery, I’ll never forget it. I was genuinely sceptical about this one but knowing Barrier’s reputation I thought it was worth a squirt. And right I was! Bitter, citrusy, stone fruits and creamy. NEIPAesque but just different. Yes there’s cinnamon but it fits so well. A great pale with cinnamon, it is possible!
