In Houston with my daughter's family enjoying some good Texas beer. Saloon Door, one of my favorite breweries, has a new imperial cream ale. Lightly hazy, deep yellow. Aroma has an intense maple creaminess, probably vanilla. Medium thick texture, very smooth and soft. Second sniff brings forth the coffee. Flavor hits with strong alcohol, sweet maple, vanilla, and roasted coffee. All relevant and excellent. The booze intensifies on the finish combined with all other tastes. Very smooth and satisfying Saloon Door 🍺 beer.
