Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #3 This was also #3 in 2021. This is a boozy one at 17.76% abv. It was quite hot fresh, hopefully it's mellowed some. Sweet boozy aroma and surprisingly there's still some coconut in there. I was sure it would have faded by now. Taste has a lot of booze. Beyond that, I'm getting dark fruits, roasted malts and a faint bit of coconut in the aftertaste. The body is medium-full with lower carbonation. This one definitely didn't mellow. It's big and boozy, but what can you really expect from an almost 18% beer. 4/5

Advent Calendar Day #3 This is a strong one that I'm hoping has mellowed some in the cellar. I still have one left, so if it hasn't, perhaps I can add it to next year's calendar. 2021 vintage. Chocolate and coconut show up first, followed by bourbon and a little bit of vanilla in the aroma. Taste has bourbon and coconut first, followed by vanilla and chocolate. It's still quite boozy, but that's expected being almost 18% abv and only spending around 8 months in the cellar. The body is medium-full, bordering on full bodied with a lower amount of carbonation. I do believe I'll hold on to my last can until next year. I don't remember what I rated this before, but as of right now, it's a high 4/5

Bourbon and coconut in the aroma. Taste has bourbon primarily. Boozy bourbon. Some chocolate notes come through as well as roasted malts. The coconut is primarily in the aftertaste. Medium-full, mouth coating body with lower carbonation. 4/5 Hopefully some time in the cellar will allow this to mellow some. We'll see
