I didn’t know what to expect with this as there’s not much info on the can other than it’s a 7% IPA brewed with 5 hop varietals. My guess is Harbour are really pleased with this as it’s a step up from their mainstream traditional beers, but Arbor may be a bit miffed as it’s nothing special for them. Was the collaboration an attempt to make a really good beer or push each other’s boundaries, or was it because they have a similar name and it’d be fun to do something together? I don’t know... Anyway, it’s a bitter IPA and is very much in the traditional English style although with an up to date sing to it! Marmalade and pithy orange collard with hints of citrus, especially grapefruit. The malt characteristics are greasy with a hint of caramel. Not the nightcap I was after but that’s my own greedy fault. Still, a nice enough beer.
