I'm not sure on this one. I went from a 3 to a 3-1/2 back to a 3. I like a little bitterness in my IPA but this one pushes the limit. As this warms slightly, the bitterness edge wears down a bit.

Side by side review with 2019 (left) and 2018 (right) vintages. Check out the color difference. 2018 aroma: Some hoppiness in the aroma, but mostly a malty sweetness at this point. A little bit of honey as well. 2019 aroma: A much stronger hop presence in the aroma and not much malty sweetness. No noticeable honey. Slight fruity aroma as well. 2018 taste: Very little hop bitterness remains. Very malty sweet. The honey this was brewed with is next to show up. Still very tasty, but starting to become more like a barley wine, as I expected. 2019 taste: Much more prominent hop bitterness and much less malty sweetness in the fresh can. A subtle bitterness lingers into the aftertaste. I have to agree with people who have said the honey is toned down quite a bit this year. There's a sweetness, but I can't definitively say it's honey, but it probably is. Upon further sipping, it's definitely honey. Medium-full body with a medium-low carbonation for both. Overall: I think both are great, but as with all IPAs, fresh is best. This has definitely changed into an interesting beer a year later, though. Glad I had the patience to do this. 4/5
