BEER STYLE: Imperial Stout COUNTRY: USA ABV.: 12.0% COLOUR (EBC): Dark Brown Black (89.0) BITTERS (EBU/IBU): - AROMA: Sweet coconutty. Strong and purely mellow vanilla. The sweetness is somewhat candy ganache like; slowly runny, pure buttery; interesting. HEAD: Pretty close to nonexistent. GREY’S VIEW Rye Imperial Stout w/ Toasted & Raw Coconut and Mexican & Ugandan Vanilla Beans. It’s clearly a slow piece this one. Taste has nice amount of stuff to it. Rye in many ways and them giving that slight burnt feel, molasses sort of brown sugars, truck loads of vanilla beans and coconut with toasty being. I somehow found palmtree, freshly made butter to compliment the maintaste. It’s not super complex, but it certainly has stuff in it. Rye grows up during the adventure. Thick in viscosity, melted brown sugars and slow being, mouthfeel being almost thick. Carbonation is atom sized and nicely growing towards sharper being. OTHER NOTES: I like how the ingredients play in this one and the base is simply just gorgeous. It’s oily and slow, thick and plentiful enough in taste. Not that complex or nothing, but more like a damn nice dark one to enjoy. BOTTLED 2020 TASTED 2021
