Last day at my sister's house on the Guadalupe River, Whiskey River Ranch. During the summer this river is packed with tubers. High, tan head. Not lasting that long. Opaque brown color. Very faint cocoa aroma. Smooth and creamy but not heavy. Medium intensity flavor, milk chocolate with peppermint thrown in at the end. Brief finish. About as strong as you would expect from a 4.7% stout. Not a complex brew, pretty much the same from start to finish. A good beer for relaxing and watching the geese on the river.
