Imperial Stout
Vanilla, lactose sugar, and chai spice flavors magnificently combine with Jittery Joe’s Wake-n-Bake coffee to create this robust and savory Oatmeal Imperial Stout. The balance between these satisfying flavors helps to produce a beer that makes those cold winter nights easier to enjoy sip after sip.

Another Duo beer with my son-in-law in Galveston. This one from one of my favorite breweries, Terrapin, out of Athens Georgia. 2020 Reserve.
Medium-high, very thick dark brown head. Spice aroma with some chocolate. Dark opaque brown color. Texture is medium thick, soft and creamy. First flavor is the chai spice, strong bittersweet chocolate with some gentle vanilla in the background. Velvety smooth as it transitions into a robust roasted coffee, mild bitterness and the 9.4% alcohol only then gently presents itself. All these flavors are balanced perfectly and nothing artificial.
This may be the best that Terrapin has done. Seems perfect in every way, from the smoothness, balancing the flavors that seem to appear separately, to the overall excellent taste. Congratulations!
PS: Celebrating Alabama's first basketball victory in March Madness in a painfully long time.
