New beer in Pint Please. Best before 15.11.2022 (so canned maybe November 15th, 2020 making this about three months old) Temperature: +13 C Pretty much black colored beer. The foam is about one finger tall, even layer which doesn't last that long. The texture is quite thick, seems appropriate for beer such as this: 3,5/5 The oaky aroma resembles Bourbon, but it's not quite the same as beers aged in real barrels. There's also a smoky aroma, some chocolate, and herbal notes. Not that interesting, sadly. Doesn't quite reach the intensity I was looking for: 3,5/5 The mouthfeel is medium with medium-low carbonation. The oak chips aging doesn't quite work, as the oakiness just feels weird and unfitting... Like a piece of wet wood: 2,75/5 The taste has lots of oak, Bourbon-ish flavor, some roastiness and malts, and then a nasty medicine flavor which definitely shouldn't be there. That's really annoying and takes away basically all the pleasure: 6/15 Well, the beer doesn't work at all and it has a nasty medicine off-flavor. Another brewery I had high hopes for but the last two beers in a row haven't been good ones, not even mediocre ones😶no more beers like this, please. 6,5/20 =22,25/50
