Another wax topped from my christmas box set. Very nice looking bottle gives the expectant black body, which had some nice bubbly, chocolate coloured foam but it didn't last at all. The body then was left looking a little flacid and in retrospect the whole pour seems aet down. Aromas of dark chocolate and coffee, some sweet coconut, sweetened further with a little vanilla and the advertised whiskey. The mouthfeel is quite light, bordering on thin but is saved by a moderate carbonation that has only a moderate bite but is evenly spread throughout each sip. The taste has three elements, chocolate, coffee and whiskey, all of which are delivered in a sort of one dimensional way. It is quite harmonious and balanced but quite blunt too. It tastes good, but not complex. I feel divided, but would recommend it nonetheless.

Porter lourde mais légère en bouche. Alcool bien présent et carbonatation intense.

Tuoksussa wiski tynnyriä, vaniljaa ja kahvia. Valmistajan mukaan pitäisi löytyä vaffasti tummaa suklaata, paahteista mallasta ja lakritsaa. Katsotaan löytyykö nuo maun puolelta. Noo, se on fifty ja sixty, eli kaikki vaihtoehdot löytyy. Jälkimaussa varsinkin on melko tuhtia lakritsaisuutta ja paahteista mallasta. P. S. Tämäkin tuli Hollannista (testi erässä) kivuttomasti.

Geht seidig ins Glas, dunkle Farbe, im Licht schöne Rottöne, ungetrübt. Dazu eine beige bis haselnussbraune Schaumkrone, klebrig, kleinporig und stabil. In der Nase leicht säuerliche Whiskey-/Dörrobstnoten, Kaffee und Vanille. Der Antrunk ist weich, kompakt, reichhaltig. Man muss schon ein zweites Mal ansetzen, um es aufzudröseln. Leicht Espresso/Kaffee, doch das leicht säuerliche Dörrobst kommt gleich, dezent, aber das Alkohol drängelt etwas. Dieser begleitet bis zum Ende mit, Vanille und Kaffee schließen sich an. Eine leichte, passende Bittere ist auch dabei. Auf den Lippen bleibt ein leicht schokoladige Süße mit Vanille. Der Alkohol ist zwar präsent, aber brennt nicht, er begleitet, er zeigt einem aber auch, dass er nicht spielt. Ganz eindeutig verführt er und sagt dir gleich:"Lass dich gehen, aber fahren brauchst du nicht mehr." Ein recht komplexes Bier, das viel zu entdecken hat. Für Anfänger vielleicht zu komplex. Doch garantiert kein Leichtgewicht.
