With my son-in-law, having a dank beer that I have been saving just for him. Part of a four pack that is a limited release. Aroma definitely brings forth the dank characteristic that is part of the quality of this line of beers. Smallest notes of deep chocolate in the aroma. Expected dark brown opaque color with small head. Light and crisp texture. Flavor is strong, pungent, and dry, spruce pine Christmas tree in a glass. Not until the finish do I get small notes of chocolate. Has an umbrella of dankness that overshadows everything from start to finish. I love the chocolate characteristics of the stout but the dankness is overwhelming and transforms this beer into something that is a more smoky and enveloping concoction. Definitely a one and done.
