Nice chocolate and coffee, maybe a little molasses? Dark and rich but not a long aftertaste.

In the shadows of falling night, elusive and secretive, a huge hairy creature, rank of stench and foul of demeanor, creeps forth. Stealthily searching for that with which to satiate his cryptic desires. STOUT!
But then I go have a shower and get ready to pop the cap on this dark beauty.
A midnight black beer that gives no passage to photons when subjected to flashlight tests.
It releases a large coffee coloured head as thick as its namesakes hair and nearly as tall.
With skepticism firmly held aside, I plumb the depths for olfactory clues as to what may be lurking in the aromas.
Roast barley, robust coffee, and generous chocolate notes fill the nose. There is an earthy and definite hops component, but it's as hard to make out as a photo of the big guy himself.
It is lighter of body than I would expect but still fuller than my shorts after having caught sight of beast.
Roast barley offers up a lightly burnt ashy taste. Coffee comes through tasting dark and lightly bitter. A vegetal earthy hops adds some light bitterness and mild flavour. Through it all a nice chocolate makes its presence known.
I want to tell people about the experience but I only seem crazy as there is no evidence left except and odd indistinct print where it may have stood on my table.
