Right. Pint of Knights Premium Cider, 8.4%, and this is a very different beast altogether, so it should be for £2.20 a can. This isn’t a “popping for one pint” drink… this is a decision. First sip and it lets you know straight away… sweet as anything and goes down far too easy for something that’s clearly got bad intentions. You’re thinking “ah this is alright, actually” while it’s already halfway to loosening your legs and your morals. From a Rhondda point of view, it’s got heart, this is the sort of pint you’d only order if you’ve got nowhere to be tomorrow. It’s not refined, it’s not pretending to be posh… it’s strong, sugary, and built to do a job. And that job is to turn a quiet evening into “do you remember anything last night?” There’s not much subtlety to it. Apple-forward, heavy, a bit rough round the edges. By the bottom of the glass it’s starting to sit on you, warm and stubborn, like it’s moved in without asking, like a single father with no where to go. Overall? It’s lethal, butt. Tastes better than it has any right to at 8.4%, but you ignore that at your peril. One pint is fine. Two pints and you’re ordering chips you don’t need and telling people you love them. Respect it. Or it’ll have you. Drinkable: absolutely (in moderation) Memorable- absolutely
