Enjoying a new stout and meal at The Foundry and Growler Bar. Flatbread looks delicious. The brew starts out with a thick, medium-high head. Very mild aroma. Color is opaque brown. Soft creamy texture that turns dry. The palette brings forth a roasted coffee and dark semi-sweet chocolate, not overpowering. The flavor transitions smoothly into a softer milk chocolate finish with almost no bitterness. I was worried that this brew might conflict with my meal but the roasted quality paired them together just fine. The flatbread was fabulous.
