Enjoyed this beer in December of 2019. Loved it then. Going to try it again. Super deep brown, dark tan head. Dark chocolate aroma, seems very sweet. Much lighter and thinner texture than I was expecting for an imperial stout. Deep roasted malt with semisweet cocoa chocolate. Develops a pithy bitterness from the hops. Dark bitter chocolate continues through the finish as a parched dry feel slowly fades. Never detected the 8% alcohol whatsoever. One of the most easily consumed Imperial stouts I have encountered. Very drinkable.

This is beer number 10 in Clown Shoes "The 12 Beers of Christmas" collection. Starts with a very deep chocolate head, doesn't last very long. A faint aroma of chocolate. Texture is light for an imperial stout. Roasted bittersweet chocolate flavor in the forefront. Hidden in the background is a hint of coffee and what seems to me as spice. Maybe confusing this with the orange peel they have added. All this was very well balanced but brief as the finish followed quickly with a dry charred chocolate. Even the finish disappeared in short order. Dangerous brew in that I don't detect the 8% alcohol at all. Another very good beer from Clown Shoes Beer. So far this 12-pack has been exceptional.
