What a fantastically fun beer! I like hefeweizens, they’re distinct flavour profile, the yeastiness and yet remaining crisp, and the fact they’re like those beers from Belgium but there not as Belgian! This however is something else! The flavour and mouthfeel is of a banana smoothie made with vanilla ice cream and spiced with clove and orange peel. Not what I expected. It’s amped up alright but it’s also been made palatable and borderline decedent, a term I never thought I’d use to describe a hefeweizen. No hint of the ABV at all. Great beer!
