Pannepeut, formerly known as Pannepøt due to the Danish spelling, is a dark quadrupel in Trappist style that was originally brewed for the Scandinavian market. Since 2006, due in part to the popularity of this beer, it has become a staple in the Struise beer lineup.
The label of this beer features an image of the sailing ship “Très Hombres,” which brings wooden rum barrels from the Caribbean for us. The “Très Hombres” is a cargo ship that operates in a sustainable and ecological manner. The ship is used each year for a trans-Atlantic journey between Europe and the Caribbean.
The ship’s route typically begins in the spring, when it departs from the port of Den Helder in the Netherlands. The ship then sails across the Atlantic Ocean to Caribbean islands such as the Dominican Republic and Trinidad. During this journey, the ship is powered solely by wind and solar energy, without the use of fossil fuels.
Once in Caribbean waters, the ship is loaded with sustainable and organic products, such as cocoa, coffee, rum, and honey. These products are produced and transported in an ethical manner, making the ship a sustainable choice for companies looking to import these products.
After loading the products, the ship returns to Europe, where it docks in various ports to unload the goods. The journey of the ship usually takes about 6-7 months and is an example of sustainable transportation and trade.

Pullotettu 13.1.21, vintage 2020.
Belgihiivaa, imelää kuivahedelmää, rypälettäkin.
Melko hapokas, hitusen hapan, viinimäinenkin lopuksi. Aivan maistuva quadi.
