Station Hoppy Pale Lager
4.5% Pale Lager
For our very first lager we wanted to do something different, light IPA are making their way in the market but why not play with a light hoppy lager? This is what we did and we're honestly very proud of it! At 4.5%, we can easily see this beer following you around during hot summer days. This lager is meant to be sessionable and refreshing while providing a smooth, well balanced hop and malt character. Aroma Malty and smooth hop aromas composed of tropical fruit that are both earthy and herbal. Flavour Based on a pilsner character and generously hoped with Mosaic and Waimea during the boil it is then dry hoped during lagering with Waimea. Hop bitterness is medium at 40 IBU flavours are composed of tropical fruit that are herbal and earthy. The bitterness seems to want to dominate like an IPA but it quickly dissipates on the palate followed by a smooth hop flavour. The base malt is Gambrinus Pilsner and it is complimented with Briess Victory Mouthfeel Light-Medium body with a moderate carbonation. Availability This beer is available all year round.
IBU: 40
