Screamin' Beaver Oak Aged Double IPA is an amped-up version of Beaver River India Pale Ale, Beau's award-winning, extra-hoppy IPA. Screamin' Beaver weighs in at 9.9% ABV and 99 IBUs, and has been dry-hopped and aged on oak staves. Despite the intensity of malt and hop character, this beer is still incredibly drinkable and nicely balanced. Screamin' Beaver first breeches the palate with a shot of grapefruit then gives way to nuanced oaky, caramelly flavours and warming alcohol mouthfeel. The aroma mainly suggests vanilla and pear. A luscious interplay of vanilla and citrus flavours is evocative of a Creamsicle. This is one complex, contemplative beer.
