Christmas Beer Advent 2020 Day 11 Coffee aromas flood out of the can on opening, with a hint of peanuts. It pours with a nice thick tan head and plenty of fizz. First few sips give coffee bitterness and a metallic synthetic peanut taste. Nailing that peanut butter flavour is notoriously difficult and I thought they’d missed the mark on this one. I served the beer a good hour after removing from the fridge and about a third of the way in the beer hit the spot. Carbonation subsided allowing a fuller mouthfeel to present itself. The beer warmed and the coffee and peanut butter flavours mingled together perfectly with a mellow sweetness alongside the roast malts. To say I was sipping at the start, I was throwing it down my neck by the end. Lovely stuff!
