I was BBQ'ing a tomahawk steak over charcoal and needed something just as bold to pair with it. This fit the bill. This beer is dark as night, fairly fluffy head and all business. Strong alcohol taste mixed with the resinous hoppy flavour. Not sure it would be as appealing to me on it's own, but it sure was a fantastic addition to my meal.
