Piper’s Pale Ale was named in honour of Canadian war hero Piper James C. Richardson who was lost during the Battle of the Somme in WWI. Richardson was one of only a handful of men to be awarded the Victoria Cross while serving in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. In his name, we craft this is copper-coloured , traditional English pale ale that boasts an earthy, caramel malt flavour, medium hop bitterness and a fruity, crisp and dry finish.
