New beer in Pint Please.
Just got home from fishing. Managed to get only one pike. Tomorrow is a homebrewing day❤️nightcap before bed.
Canned on 18.6.2020
Temperature: +10 C
Dark coffee-brown color. Lovely creamy, tan-colored head with brilliant retention. Strong and thick lace. Looks lush: 4,5/5
The aroma is packed with plenty of citrus with a resiny piney twist. Soft toastiness and strong yet light coffee undertones. Blackcurrant sweetness as well. A perfumy vibe joins in when the beer is warmer. Niceeeee: 4,25/5
Mouthfeel is medium-light with a subtle bitterness and medium-low carbonation. Mouthfeel could be bigger. Now this is really easy and just doesn't feel as strong as you'd like: 3,25/5
Taste is quite fresh with a citrus and fruitiness from the hops and slightly roasted coffee and some chocolate from the malts. Because of the mild mouthfeel intensity, the flavor seems somewhat watered. Sad. In a blind taste, I'd never guess this would have 8,6% ABV. Feels almost Session strength. Although highly drinkable, just too easy and mild for me to really like this beer: 9,5/15
Oh Man, the beer started so well but quickly all that glory was gone. Really easy Cascadian Dark. Improvements in the mouthfeel could make a lot of difference which would probably show in the taste as well. But if you want a highly drinkable strong beer, then this is a good candidate: 13,5/20
