Full of citrus, lots of pithy grapefruit and a nice bitterness to it. Some tropical fruit nuances in the background but certainly grapefruit takes centre stage

This is the second DIPA of my missed, returned and refound parcel that is expiring soon. Hence, better finish this before that. Cloudy, pale orange-juice-colored beer with decent lively carbonation unleashes a snow-white, velvety head that fails to reach one finger. The foamy lid melts soon to a frazil-icy lacing wafting on the surface. The scent is rather weak with a spoonful of dry hops, orange zest and fermented pineapple. Not particularly attractive, could well be because of the age (almost six months). The gustatory experience is not as oppressed as the fragrance. The tongue likes mushy mango, orange zest and grapefruit pith, perhaps also a little bit of apricot. The dry-hoppy aroma is restrained and slightly piney but still fairly fruity. There's a biscuity nuance in the background, could be either due to oat flakes or age. Obviously not fully fresh anymore but reasonably gluggable though. The body is medium to medium-full. Quite nice! 💛🧡 The beer finishes with fruity slams of mango, orange and grapefruit as well as light-piney hops, perhaps also a pinch of resin. The oaty hint hasn't yet left my taste receptors alone. The aftertaste pours fruit smoothie for the tastebuds that finish the nourishment fast. The mouthfeel is juicy, a bit closed though as well as light-crisp. It portrays subtropical features but fails to shine entirely fresh. Balmy like the sunset in Africa.

Maukas joskin aika tylsä citra dipa.

Todella mehuisan näköinen, täysin sameankeltainen Citra DIPA. Tölkitetty 23.6. Eli reilu 6 viikkoista. Tuoksu on tutunoloinen, reippaasti yrttisen humalainen, sitruunainen ja mehukkaan trooppishedelmäinen. Paksuhko. Maku on greippinen, sitruunamehuinen, kevyen persikkainen, pihayrttinen ja ruohoinen. Päälinjoilta melko maltaisen oloinen ja sitäkautta enemmän ruraali kuin vehreä. Suutuntuma on jämäkkä. Puolikarkea, vaikkakin melko helposti juotava. Loppua kohden kuivakan katkeroinen. Perusasiat kunnossa, mutta raikkaus ja makujen syvyys uupuu. Ei säväytä oikeastaan millään osa-alueella. Häviää esimerkiksi jenkkiläisille vastinpareilleen selvästi.
