Okay. I grabbed this one by mistake while headed to the lake. Not exactly a brown ale type of day but that's okay, I love brown ales anytime, anywhere. It started with an extremely high, very tan head but quickly fell down to a quarter inch. Rich, roasty, nutty aroma. Very dark brown color but not totally opaque. Texture is surprisingly light. Flavor had a dark earthly quality, with a balance between nutty and bittersweet chocolate. Very little carbonation, very smooth and mildly bittersweet finish with a touch of caramel. Not really suited for a hot summer day on the lake, but surprisingly, a very good brown ale. Atlanta Brewing did good.
