This was added to Pint Please as Vankila Shake, Dark Lager😂 Edited the info. 0,5l bottle from stem glass. Enjoyed with coffee and rhubarb & vanilla pie made by my sister. (Shared tasters with my family.) Pours oily and thick, pitch black beer. Thin brown foam that retreats to the edges of the glass. Intoxicating vanilla and chocolate smell fills the room. Nuances of Bourbon, booze and coffee float in the background. Very tempting. Low carbonation. Perfect mouthfeel. Luscious, thick and full. Oily and smooth. Just pure awesomeness. Taste leaves you speechless. Hits my sweet spot for sweet bourbon imperial stouts. I'll try to put my feelings into words. First comes the sweet chocolate sauce and vanilla. Coffee and dry dark chocolate balance the sweetness. Boozy bourbon and wood make you sweat and hungry for more. Burnt caramel, roasted dark malts and some peat. Sweet cream fudge and dried fruits. Sounds pretty basic, but it's far from it. All the pieces are perfectly in place and new nuances can be found with every sip. Overall it's lip glueing sweet and almost too easy to drink. There is virtually no sign of alcohol, just a slight warmth in throat. Aftertaste is thick, long and Bourbony. Just a tad bitter. Perfect. Hot damn. This was delicious! Perfectly balanced and full of flavor. Maybe not the most complex one, but this kind of treat doesn't need more complexity. Dessert in a bottle! Happy midsummer everyone!
