Here”s to Daniel Lapp, Oliver Schroer, ELH, and all great fiddlers. Libation and music, like the tumultuous marriage of malt and hops, stand waiting with us at the crossroads. And look: here comes the Devil, whistling past the graveyard, singing in the midnight choir, bottle in one hand, a fiddle in the other, and that crazy smile…

Another IPA I could possibly enjoy. Pine and citrus flavours in a crisp combination without a heavy hoppy finish.

This IPA fills the glass with a copper orange and sports a healthy two finger head built of half soapy bubbles and nicely thick foam. It leaves chunky lacing all up and down the sides.
The aromas are a combination of citrus, melon, and pine. More of a mash up than separate entities.
Also some nice caramel toffee malt, with biscuit.
The flavours are definitely hop forward displaying the same notes as the aroma but with some more resinous pine. As it warms it balances out a bit more. It is more of a traditional IPA. I like it.

Everything Hoyne makes is solid. Some hopheads complain that this IPA doesn't smack you across the head with its hoppiness like a mugger trying to roll you in a dark alleyway. But do they genuinely like beer or is *just* the hops? IMO this should be Driftwood Fat Tug's toughest competitor for best BC IPA.
