Quiet tasty, less sweet and thinner in body then the stouts I have been indulging in lately. Really tastes like a cup of black coffee smoothed out with soft subtle vanilla.
It would make a great breakfast brew!

I thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of this while standing in a river wearing shorts and a rain coat (I'm too cheap to buy waders or winter cloths) last weekend. The rain was pounding down and it was a brisk 4 degrees Celsius. Fly rod in one hand bottle near the other, freezing my ace off and a warming my soul with this tasty brew.
Needless to say a review was not a huge priority at the time but this seemed worthy of a revisit. So...
Beautiful dark brown with a nice frothy lacing head. Wonderful rich coffee aroma with notes of chocolate and cream, and vanilla.
This porter is is exactly what it claims to be and is a damn fine example of it. Slightly sweet on the tounge with chocolate and hints of vanilla and whiskey introducing the coffee into the profile. Smooth, rich, full bodied, and completely inoffensive. Very nice offering from Tofino Brewing Co.
