Tuoksussa alkoholia. Makea ja täyteläinen belgi, paksu suutuntuma. Aprikoosia ja lakritsaa. Alkoholi pysyy aisoissa juuri ja juuri, muttei kuitenkaan häiritse. Toimii todella hyvin juuston kanssa esim. Masdaam.

Backlog from October 13th Caramel, banana and sweet malts in the taste. The 15.1% abv is incredibly well hidden. This is great. I almost wish I had one to age. In my opinion, probably the best Ohio craft brewery. I just wish their prices were better. 4.25/5

Pentuple = quintuple. Obviously refers to the Trappist tradition of naming beerstyles as Enkel, Dubbel, Tripel and Quadrupel. Enkel is nowadays known as Belgian Pale/Golden Ale. Dubbel is dark whereas Tripel is honey-amber. Quads are mixed: from red-brown to darkish. So, what a "Pentuple" would then look like? Can't tell. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Officially the beerstyle is Tripel. The beer colors translucent, pale raisin. The timid, short-lived carbonation sets a creamy, velvety head that falls short of half a finger. The foamy cap dissolves soon to a frazil-icy lacing wafting on the top. Small splatters can be spotted on the glass. Sweet dough, sweet drycake and extraordinarily sweet malt attack the olfactory receptors powerfully. I can also detect sweet licorice, dried peach and yellow sultanas. Massive! The same oversweet malt with hefty notes of biscuit, drycake and dough constitutes the skeleton of the palate. Dried fruit, especially raisin and peach as well as a bit of fig make sure that the lips remain glued. Alcohol (ABV = 15.4 %) is fully camouflaged behind the abundant sweetness. Not layered as anticipated. The body is medium. The beer finishes with the exactly identical package as the actual taste. I just can't taste any difference from upfront. The aftertaste decides not to stay on the tastebuds for more than a moment only. Pity. The mouthfeel is sappy, sticky and definitely lip-glueing. It's also fairly strong and truly thick, almost like kisel. Absolutely desserty. A slow sipper and curiosity for sure albeit not complex. Sinks down easily in this sunny warm evening. ☀️🥀🌱
