The kettle in the brewhouse has been burning oft this year and with it it being an odd year to say the least experimentalism seems appropriate. I had just recently learned of a couple new hops to hit the scene and based on their descriptors could not restrain myself from ordering immediately. It was no question what needed to be brewed with them. So combing my mad scientist eyebrows back, i grabbed my gear and set to making a hazy IPA. Whilst not as hazy as I'd hoped this ipa definitely isnt clear. It pours witha small short lived head, but as it does, the nose is being loudly promised amazing things. There is some moderate lacing and it retains patchy foam throughout. The aroma of this beer is just shy of miraculous. Massive pineapple, coconut, mango, peach, melon, sweet orange, cream, and possibly strawberry. As it passes over the tongue a creamy sweetness lays the foundation for a juicy tropical extravaganza. Most of the notes in the aroma are the flavours that the tongue get to bathe luxuriously in. Not super stong but ample. There is a slight citrus hint that balances out the sweetness perfectly. There is little to no bitterness except from the carbonation. Very soft mouthfeel and easy drinking. I belive that if I boost the dry hop on this beer, it may be the finest (hoppy) beer I've tasted. I am proud to say I made that.
