Tasting - ilta..... Hieman on juuresta mukana tuoksussa ja maussa? Muuten tosi kova.

This one from the Christmas calendar. Bottled on: 17.2.2020 Temperature: +13,5 C Black coloured beer with a small head that lasts an extremely long time. The texture looks smooth. Despite a tiny foam this manages to look fine: 4,25/5 The nose starts with a roasty, chocolate and coconut notes. Marshmallows provide some creamy sweetness. Way too light for a beer with 13,3% ABV. Smells like the strength is half of that. In itself good, but could be way more intense: 3,75/5 In the mouthfeel, the beer takes a giant leap forward! Full and round body, a nice, subtle alcohol warmth. Low carbonation and a balancing level of bitterness. Flows nicely: 4,5/5 The taste is sweet, creamy with strong chocolate tones which don't get bitter at all but almost taste like milk chocolate. Not so much coconut. I think the coconut has merged up with the sweetness. The aftertaste is smooth and balanced, not the strongest in the world of Imperial Stouts but a pleasant one nevertheless: 12,75/15 Doesn't get a wow effect but the beer is a solid, and balanced dessert-like big Stout. Not overly sweet, but just enough. The weakest point is the scent, but that forgets quickly after taking a few sips. Nice one: 17/20 =42,25/50

Taisi olla perjantain viimeinen. Suht hatarat muistikuvat, joten ei pisteitäkään. Muistan tämän olleen suht makea ja suklainen. That's it.

Pastry stout fanin unelma. Makea, pehmeä ja täyteläinen. Suklaata, kookosta, vaahtokarkkia ja karamellia. Ja äärettömän ylimakea.
