Getting up early and dragging dead fish around all day is a tough gig. That's why we want to pay homage to the hard working fish mongers down on Baldwin Street. This IPA is big, assertive and full of attitude...not too unlike the surly characters slicing and dicing today's catch. A wonderfully floral, piney and mildly citrus nose comes by way of an excessive dose of American hops and British ale yeast. A big malt bill helps achieve a sweet caramel body to compliment a pleasantly balanced hop bite. FishEYE works beautifully with a burger, spicy Indian food and sharp, strong cheese.

Toronto! 🇨🇦 The expedition starts at Kensington Brewing Company. Short reviews will apply. 🍻
Flight 1/4.
Hazy, deep amber beer with a cotton, cream-colored head that reaches one finger. The scent is truly subtle, allowing one to only get distant citrus. The palate is fruity and rather classic: I get lemon peel, a bit of grapefruit, medium-piney hops and a drop of resin.
The light-bodied beer ends citrus pith and peel, diminishing piney hops and bitter green tea. The aftertaste keeps the tastebuds active for some time.
The mouthfeel is moderately crisp, fairly light, balanced, slightly summery and overall quite classic.

Depending how you like your IPA's, this is either a 4 or a 3 star selection. Mild hoppy flavours finish this easy drinking, fruity IPA. For those who avoid IPA's, you may like this one as it's soft finish makes it stand apart from most.
