Very stouty. Funny taste which can’t put finger on if sour or bitter. Not for me.

I wasn’t expecting much from this but very pleasant indeed. It’s a style of beer I do like but over the years I’ve always found those on offer in the UK to be lacking something compared to examples I had when discovering this style in the US. The secret to me is cascadian hops, simple but it’s what makes a good cascadian dark ale stand out. Bitter and fruity with a hint of roast malt.
