Illan viimeset hitaat ja Beer Republicista tilattu Bear Republicin Big Bear Black Stout. Tälle ei osannut kauheesti odotuksia asettaa, mutta kylläpä olikin yllättävän hyvä olut! Herkullisessa tuoksussa paahdetta, suklaisuutta ja melassia. Maussa kevyesti paahteinen tatsi, joka taittuu suklaisella makeudella kohti kevyen katkeroista jälkimakua. Todella iisi juotava, mutta kuitenkin on makua mukavasti. Tuoksu on ehkä makua vakuuttavampi, mutta hyvä helppo IS kyseessä.

Rainy day here in Oulu. Another Imperial stout seems good idea. Bottle. Best before:? Temperature: +11 degrees Dark coffee brown. Tan head stays on top long period of time and glues itself on the glass while seddling down: 4,25/5 Nose is clean, coffee, toasty, dark fruity with a hint of licorise. Good aroma and a kind of you could expect from 8,1% ABV Imperial stout. That said, I like Imperial stouts with wayyyy bigger and bolder scent: 4/5 Medium-full body with medium-low carbonation. Good bitterness: doesn't come through too much and lets the creamy body flow: 4,25/5 Taste is very clean as well: malty, roasty, fruity, herby with definate notes of coffee and chocolate. Aftertaste is fairly dry and long lasting: 11/15 For my liking, too "small" IS. But with really clean and balanced aromas and flavours. If you like lighter Imperial stouts, then this is for you! 16/20 =39,5/50

Autant je ne suis pas fan des bière au goût chocolat, café, caramel mais celle ci passe avec son ptit goût pamplemousse

Robe noire, mousse cappuccino fine et persistante. Au nez : Woh ! Du pain grillé, du café, du pin, du fruit (je dirais rouge). Quelque chose de liquoreux aussi. En bouche : une mise en bouche liquoreuse presque désagréable (comme si ta Mamy t’avait offert un Mon Chéri 🍒). On retrouve des notes de pin et de café malheureusement l’association ne fonctionne pas. La fin de bouche présente une amertume âcre et desséchante. Déçu d’avoir été déçu, au fil de la dégustation le nez rejoint la bouche. Adieu Mamy « mon chéri ».
