Extended Quarantine Day #32. Time for a topical beer "Poikkeustila" (~ 'State of Emergency'). The semihazy, deep gold beer with extrovert carbonation unleashes a fluffy, bright white head that exceeds two fingers. The foamy stack contracts soon to a hair-thin lacing on the surface. The retreating froth paints the glass with multiple splashes of various sizes. The nose experiences medium-sweet malt, a decent crack of biscuit and orange peel. I can also trace a faint buttery nuance somewhere in the background. The taste portrays relatively heftily hopped malt, dry grass, graham crackers, biscuit and a good amount of citrus pith. The body is light to light-medium. The beer ends with bitter dry-grassy hops, bags of citrus pith and peel, biscuit and a pinch of yeast. The aftertaste touches the tastebuds gently for a relatively long time. The mouthfeel is moderately crisp, a tad effervescent and rather smooth. Reasonable but the slight sweetness that portrays itself in the form of the biscuity nuance drops my interest. NOTE: The barcode leads to "Cheers from Espoon El Dorado".
