Sauna beer: ultra-low-alc (ABV = 1.2 %) plum Kvass from Lithuania. Sounds unique although I'm not sure how well such a package would fit in a Finnish sauna. Anyway, enjoyed straight from the bottle. No assessment of the appearance and head.
The nose receives powerful plum jam, sweet malt extract, dark chocolate covered plum pralines and a drop of syrup.
The gustatory supply includes plum juice, sweet roasted malt, a small injection of dark chocolate and thin syrup.
The thin-bodied beer finishes with medium-sweet dark malt and a quite distant nuance of fresh plum. The aftertaste disappears from the tastebuds rushedly.
The mouthfeel is thin, rather juicy, moderately jam-like and ... Christmassy. It's also a bit lip-glueing and definitely unique.
The beer behaves interestingly on hot sauna stones: instead of roasted malt and/or rye bread, I get roasted plum jam. Not my first choice for a sauna beer but otherwise gluggable.
