Slacks
6.0% India Pale Ale
India Pale Ale brewed with Enigma & Mosaic hops. "A big IPA all about the juice; Slacks is a conscious effort on our part to aim for a 6% beer, but fill it with all the flavour intensity and body of one of our stronger IPAs. Dry-Hopped to the nines with 30kg of Enigma and Mosaic to bring all those stone fruit, papaya, and mango notes right up to the fore, Slacks is named for an in-joke from this year's Polly's Christmas party, where Arron - ever the fashionista - turned up in some let's say, questionable slim fitting trousers (and we've never let him live it down since). Thankfully there is nothing questionable about this straight up murky juicebomb of a beer. Delicious"

Deep amber colour and almost totally opaque with fast dispersing head. Tropical, stone and citrus fruit aromas from Enigma and Mosaic hops. Notably pineapple, lime, passionfruit, peach and orange. Soft in mouth with noticeable carbonation with medium body and a fast finish. It's got a dank tangy aftertaste preceded by pink grapefruit, pineapple, apricot and peach. It's quite sharp without the acidity of actual juice, it's the hops that are spiky. Less complexity on the tongue than the nose and there is an underlying softness but it's soon taken over by dank tropics. Grapefruit and pineapple makes you think of the soft drink lilt and there is a similarity but this beer has zero sweetness to the fruit flavours and only simulated acidity via the dank hoppy finish. Although the finish is quick the dank hops build layers and lingers, which is pleasing. I would prefer more softness and richness and less spike which I feel it better served in transparent pales. Or maybe this approach could act as a counterbalance to rich smoothie-like juice. I love Mosaic but I'm not head-over-heels with this brew, perhaps it's a lack of oats or the enigma I'm not keen on or this particular blend. That said, this is not a bad beer just a bit different from your simcoes and cascades. Spiky pink grapefruit and pineapple without the sweetness could be a big score for someone.

Hieman makea, runsaan hedelmäinen, kevyttä katkeruutta ja havuisuutta, pehmeä, nautinnollinen.

Tuoksussa rypälettä, ananasta, hieman persikkaa ja ruohoisuutta. Kevyehkö suutuntuma. Kevyen persikkainen ensipuraisu.
