Lansing area Barrel Aged Beer Trail stop #2 of 9 Red wine and hops in the aroma. Taste has red wine first followed by citrusy and piney hops coming in mid-palate and lingering into the finish. Subtle red wine notes in the aftertaste. The red wine from the barrels cuts some of the bitterness without totally changing the beer. Interesting and unique; only wine barrel aged IPA I've ever come across. Very good beer. High 3.75/5
