And with our last releases of the year comes a little taster of what exciting new hops we’ll be using in 2020! Kohatu is a brand new hop to us, hailing from New Zealand, and a relative newcomer to the hop world, having only been released in 2011. Much like its close relation Wai-iti, this South Pacific behemoth is massive on the tropical notes with a mellow bitterness imparted throughout. We thought this would be best applied to one of our kickass pale ales, and once paired up with one of our favourite hops in Chinook, we knew we were onto a winner. A pale ale perfect for sessioning over the festive period; thanks 2019, it’s been memorable.
