The third beer of the flight colors sludgy, raisin brown with a meager, cream-yellow lacing wafting on the surface.
The nose gets strong fermented raisin and sour plum, seasoned with a subtle dollop of sherry. The long-fermented raisin, a bit sour plum, distant blackcurrant tea as well as faint dark chocolate form the foundation of the taste.
The body ranges between light and light-medium. The beer finishes with a moderate injection of dark chocolate, abundant fermented plum and a note of licorice. The aftertaste disappoints the tastebuds rather quickly.
The mouthfeel is phenolic, overall light and slightly acidic. It's also confusingly both dry and lip-glueing. In a nutshell, a weird and unsuccessful presentation of a Dubbel.
